PEPTIDE SPOTLIGHT 🔬: GHK-Cu

When most people hear “GHK-Cu,” they probably think of skincare.

But this copper-binding peptide has been studied for much more.

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring peptide that binds to copper and has been researched for its potential role in collagen production, tissue repair, skin regeneration, and wound healing.

Research has explored its potential to support:

• Collagen and extracellular matrix production
• Skin regeneration
• Wound healing
• Tissue remodeling
• Healthy inflammatory responses

What's particularly interesting is that GHK-Cu appears to interact with multiple processes involved in tissue repair and regeneration.

However, it's important to distinguish promising research from established clinical outcomes. Much of the evidence surrounding GHK-Cu comes from laboratory and preclinical research, so more human research is needed.

At TransformYou, we don't believe peptide therapy should be approached as a one-size-fits-all solution.

We look at the whole picture—your goals, health history, labs, lifestyle, and individual needs—to determine what may make sense for you.

This is our latest Peptide Spotlight. More peptides coming soon.

PEPTIDE SPOTLIGHT 🔬: AOD-9604

What if you could study the fat-metabolism effects of a specific fragment of growth hormone—without using full HGH?

That's part of the reason AOD-9604 has generated so much interest.

AOD-9604 is derived from a small portion of human growth hormone and has been studied for its potential role in fat metabolism and lipolysis, or the breakdown of stored fat.

Research has explored its potential to support:

• Fat metabolism
• Lipolysis
• Body composition
• Stubborn fat reduction
• Metabolic health

AOD-9604 is not the same as HGH, and peptide therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all approach.

At TransformYou, we look at the bigger picture—your goals, health history, labs, lifestyle, and metabolic health—to determine whether a particular therapy may be appropriate for you.

This is the first of our new Peptide Spotlight series. Each week, we'll take a closer look at a different peptide and what the research tells us.

GHK-Cu is more than just a “collagen peptide.”

You may have heard about GHK-Cu in the context of skin health, but the research surrounding this copper-binding peptide goes much deeper.

GHK-Cu has been studied for its potential involvement in:

• Collagen formation
• Fibroblast activity
• Tissue repair
• Extracellular matrix remodeling
• Inflammatory signaling
• Skin regeneration

One of the most interesting aspects is that GHK-Cu may influence several processes involved in the repair and remodeling of tissue, rather than simply increasing collagen production.

Of course, promising research doesn't automatically mean a treatment is proven for every application. Understanding the mechanisms, evidence, and limitations matters.

We put together a deeper look at the research behind GHK-Cu, including what researchers have discovered about collagen formation, tissue repair, and skin regeneration.

🍫 Could the smell of chocolate actually help you perform better in the gym?

It sounds made up.

But researchers actually tested it.

In a study involving 23 resistance-trained men, participants were exposed to the smell of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or water before/during a resistance workout.

The results?

➡️ Dark chocolate: about 18 more reps than water
➡️ Milk chocolate: about 9 more reps than water

And here's the really interesting part:

They didn't report the workout feeling any harder.

Researchers believe the brain's response to food odors—and the way it processes hunger and fullness—may play a role in exercise performance.

Now, this doesn't mean smelling chocolate is the next secret to getting stronger. 😂

It's a small study, and more research is needed.

But it's a fascinating example of how your brain, appetite, and physical performance can interact.

Dr. Bird talked about the study in yesterday's Reel, and we've linked the research so you can read it for yourself.

Would you try this before your next workout? 🍫💪

We often think about weight loss as one simple number: how much weight did you lose?

But there’s another question that matters just as much:

How much muscle did you keep?

Muscle plays an important role in healthy aging. It helps support metabolism, blood sugar regulation, bone health, strength, mobility, and fall prevention.

That’s why preserving muscle should be a priority—especially when pursuing weight loss.

The goal isn’t just a lower number on the scale. It’s maintaining the strength and muscle your body needs to stay healthy and functional as you age.

Muscle matters for longevity. 💪

08/18/2026

We talk a LOT about weight loss.

But here’s the question we should be asking more often:

How much muscle did you keep?

Muscle is far more than something that affects how you look. It plays a critical role in healthy aging by helping:

• Regulate blood sugar
• Support metabolism
• Protect your bones
• Reduce your risk of falls
• Maintain strength and independence

That’s why preserving muscle should be a top priority—especially as we get older and especially when pursuing weight loss.

The goal shouldn’t simply be a lower number on the scale.

It should be better metabolic health, more strength, and preserving the muscle that helps keep you healthy for decades to come.

Don’t just ask, “How much weight have I lost?”
Ask, “How much muscle have I kept?”

Wondering if you need TRT? The answer isn't as simple as checking one testosterone number.

Low testosterone can be associated with symptoms like fatigue, low libido, changes in body composition, difficulty building muscle, brain fog, and changes in mood or motivation.

But these symptoms can have many possible causes—which is why proper evaluation matters.

A complete assessment may include your symptoms, health history, and hormone testing such as total testosterone, free testosterone, and SHBG.

The goal isn't to treat a number.

It's to understand the whole picture and determine whether testosterone therapy is appropriate for you.

Think your testosterone may be low?

Start with an evaluation—not a guess.
