Burnout isn’t just about how much you do. It’s also about how often you leave yourself behind while doing it.
Learning to notice yourself in the middle of your life changes your relationship with yourself—and the choices you realize you have.
I write about this in The Revival Letter. Come join us. šŸ¤Ž Link in bio.

When I look at the woman I’m becoming, I see little pieces of the girl I used to be—the softness she carried so naturally, and the strength she didn’t yet know she had. Growing into womanhood has been learning that I never had to choose between the two.

a little self-disclosure:

I’ve recently explored ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in a supported therapeutic setting, and it was a deeply meaningful experience to move through.

I’m still integrating what it’s showing me, but one thing has become surprisingly clear: my system is craving a different kind of nourishment.

less noise. less input. less constant witnessing and being witnessed.

more trees.
more drawing.
more silence.
more time spent simply inhabiting my own life.

It’s made me curious about what happens when I listen to those impulses instead of overriding them.

I’m not sure yet what that means for my relationship with this page. I’m letting that unfold slowly, without needing to decide.

for now, I’m following what feels grounding, alive, and true.

and lately, that’s been taking me outside, and back to the tangible page in front of me. 🌿

There is so much noise around becoming better, doing better, healing better.
I’m more interested in what happens when we become quiet enough to notice what was already there.
The needs you learned to swallow.
The wants you learned to explain away.
The parts of you that have been waiting, not for fixing, but for your attention.
That’s what I write about in the Revival Letter.
A little space to come back to yourself. To listen. To remember that you are a person, not a project.
If that sounds like something you’ve been needing, you can join through the link in my bio.

If this hit a little too close to home, find that link in my bio for a consultation.

Because you do not need another thing to monitor, optimize, or get ā€œright.ā€
You’ve spent enough time watching yourself.
Your job now isn’t to become better at managing your body.
It’s to know yourself well enough to stop abandoning yourself.
Less surveillance.
More relationship.
More oh, I know what this is.

Come hang out with me by joining my email list: The Revival Letter.

One of the ways we can accidentally create emotional loneliness is by leaving ourselves the moment we start monitoring someone else’s response.

Instead of staying with ā€œI’m hurt,ā€ we start tracking:

Do they understand?
Are they uncomfortable?
Am I too much?
What do they think?

Now we’re using someone else’s response to orient to our own emotional experience.

The relational work isn’t becoming less sensitive or needing people less. It’s learning to stay connected to yourself while staying connected to others.

You can want to be witnessed without needing someone else to validate the existence of what you feel.

If you’re a woman who is tired of abandoning yourself in the name of connection, this is the work I do in therapy. Link in bio to learn more.
