Have you heard about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)? πŸ€” It’s an effective method for enhancing mental wellness that helps you recognize the direct connection between your thoughts, emotions, and actions.

Why Are Your Thoughts Crucial?

Your thoughts are essential because they form the foundation of your experiences! Regardless of whether they are rational, our thoughts significantly influence how we feel and what we do. By learning to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, you can unlock new emotional responses and encourage positive behaviors.

At Iridescent Counseling, we assist you in utilizing CBT to transform irrational thoughts into healthier alternatives, empowering you to gain more control over your emotions and your life. Are you ready to change your perspective? πŸ’œπŸ’œ

To foster true connections, practice these skills:

Pay Attention: Show genuine interest without multitasking.

Reflect Back: Paraphrase what the other person says to ensure understanding without judgment.

β€œRead Minds”: Be aware of unspoken cues like body language and facial expressions; confirm your interpretations.

Understand: Consider how someone's feelings or actions relate to their experiences and current situation.

Acknowledge the Valid: Recognize that their responses are valid based on facts.

Show Equality: Treat the other person as an equal; avoid superiority or inferiority.
Effective listening and validation can transform relationships. Engage fully in therapy and life for better connections.

On Father's Day, we take a moment to honor fathers and father figures for their strength, wisdom, and the unique ways they contribute to our lives. These relationships are foundational, and expressing our gratitude is a meaningful way to show our love.

Showing appreciation goes beyond words. Consider demonstrating your love by:

Spending Quality Time: Engaging in activities they enjoy, creating new shared experiences.

Meaningful Communication: Having open conversations, sharing your thoughts and feelings.

Acknowledging Their Impact: Letting them know how their support or lessons have influenced you.

Offering Support: Being there for them, just as they've been there for you.

This Father's Day, let's celebrate these important men by showing our love and thanks in ways that resonate deeply. Happy Father's Day!

The calming, quiet environment allows you to emotionally and mentally integrate the experience. A psychedelic journey can be highly stimulating, and immediately returning to a busy or stressful routine can overwhelm your system and hinder the therapeutic benefits.

Having time to yourself allows your nervous system to regulate, reducing the risk of anxiety or confusion. This downtime is essential for turning the insights from the session into longstanding psychological and behavioral change. πŸ’œπŸ’š

Your story matters.

Have you or someone you love experienced challenges accessing mental health care because of insurance?

Maybe you've struggled to find an in-network provider. Maybe treatment was delayed, claims were denied, coverage changed unexpectedly, or the cost of care became a barrier. Perhaps your therapist left an insurance network, or insurance decisions impacted the care you were able to receive.

These experiences are happening every day, and they deserve to be heard.

The Mental Health Insurance Reform Task Force is collecting stories from individuals, families, mental health professionals, providers, advocates, and anyone who has been impacted by insurance-related barriers to mental health care.

The goal is simple: understand what people are experiencing, identify common challenges, and help bring greater awareness to the real-world impact insurance has on access to mental health treatment.

Whether your experience was recent or years ago, your voice can help paint a clearer picture of what is happening across our communities and may help inform future conversations, advocacy efforts, and meaningful change.
