Please help us wish Emily Fortier, CNM a very Happy One-Year Anniversary!

Emily's started her nursing career in behavioral health, adult medicine, and obstetrics before earning her Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University.

She spent several years working on a busy labor and delivery unit in the Valley, further nurturing her passion as a certified nurse midwife. Emily gained valuable experience in gynecology, pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and postpartum care.

Emily strives to empower women and their families to have the labor and birth experience that they desire. She sees patients as part of the SWCWC Hospitalist Team at Banner Desert Medical Center.

What a fast -- and wonderful -- year this has been! Happy 1st Anniversary, Emily!

Happy 16th Anniversary to Holly Campbell, WHNP! 💜 Help us celebrate 16 years of dedicated care at Southwest Contemporary Women's Care. Holly worked eight years as a Labor & Delivery nurse at Banner Desert, working alongside the physicians of Southwest Contemporary Women's Care, leading her to join Southwest Contemporary Women's Care as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in 2010.

Holly has provided compassionate, expert care to countless women. Her commitment to her patients and her passion for women's health continue to make a lasting difference every day.

Congratulations and thank you for 16 wonderful years. We are grateful to have you as part of the SWCWC family and look forward to many more years together! 💐

SWCWC Happy 20th Anniversary to the HPV vaccine! 💉🎉 June 2006, the FDA officially approved the HPV vaccine. Originally licensed to protect against four HPV strains (Gardasil 4), the updated vaccine now targets nine strains (Gardasil 9) and prevents up to 90% of HPV-related cancers.

🎉 The generation that has been routinely vaccinated has seen up to an 80-90% drop in cervical precancers.

The CDC and AAP strongly recommend a two-dose series for children ages 11 to 12, though it can start as early as age 9. People ages 15 years and up require three doses.

While optimized for pre-teens before virus exposure and maximum immunity, the vaccine is generally approved up to age 26, and adults up to age 45 can receive it. Discuss with your healthcare provider.
