🌟Hello, this is Dr. Lauren Glenn with Tender Mercies Compassionate Care. We are closely watching weather conditions and monitoring National Weather Service alerts due to ongoing heavy rainfall and flash-flood concerns across portions of Texas.
At this time, Bell & Williamson Counties are NOT under a Flood Watch or Flash Flood Warning. However, weather conditions and emergency alerts can change quickly, so we are taking this opportunity to review emergency preparedness with our clients and families.
Because your loved one may need additional assistance during an evacuation or other emergency, we want to make sure you are aware of the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry, known as STEAR. STEAR is a FREE, voluntary registry for individuals who may need additional assistance during an emergency because of limited mobility, a disability, a medical condition, transportation needs, or other special circumstances. Registration does not guarantee transportation or emergency assistance, but it helps local emergency officials identify residents who may require additional support.
📣You may register by calling 2-1-1 or through the Texas STEAR website. If you do decide to register, please let us know once registration has been completed or if you would like our assistance with the registration process.
