Please teach your children about special needs. 💙
Not because my child needs pity.
Not because he needs to be treated differently.
But because one day he may roll into a park, a church, a store, or a playground without me right beside him.
And I don’t want him to be stared at like he’s a spectacle.
I don’t want him to be whispered about.
I don’t want him to feel like he doesn’t belong.
I want him to be included.
I want him to be greeted with kindness.
I want him to be seen as a child first.
Children are naturally curious, and that’s okay. But those moments are opportunities to teach compassion, respect, and inclusion.
Teach your children that some kids talk differently.
Some move differently.
Some learn differently.
And some use wheelchairs, walkers, or communication devices.
But every child deserves the same thing:
A chance to play.
A chance to belong.
A chance to be accepted.
The world can be hard enough.
Let’s raise children who make it a little softer for others. 💙
Because inclusion isn’t just important for children with disabilities.
It’s important for everyone.
