Our Terre Haute facility is one of very few 28-day substance use treatment centers dedicated exclusively to women. We fully understand the unique needs of our population. That’s why our women don’t just learn how to recover from addiction — they learn to build brand new lives.

Last weekend’s heat wave gave us the opportunity for a very unique team-building exercise: the water bucket challenge!

This activity serves many purposes past the obvious benefit of keeping us cool in the 100 degree weather. It teaches us to be patient and forgiving of the person in front of us. It teaches us that communication and collaboration are key in achieving any goal. It teaches our mothers a new activity to take back to their children.

It reminds us to be happy and grateful for every. Single. Thing.

We had such an amazing time at the “Recovery is Beautiful” Gala, hosted by Wabash Valley Recovery Center. Ashley and Bear were highlighted as models, and Bear was recognized as Recovery Advocate of the Year!

Everyone looked and felt so beautiful, and it was such an amazing experience to be able to celebrate the bravery and achievement of the recovery community.

Congratulations to all of the models, award winners, and recovery milestones! Last night was a truly beautiful event for truly beautiful people :)
