Sometimes when birth ends, the experience doesn’t.
You may find yourself replaying moments over and over, avoiding reminders of your birth, feeling on edge, carrying guilt, and wondering why you can’t “move on.”
For many moms, these feelings become a constant. And often, when they do bring them up, they’re told, “You should be grateful because everyone is okay.”
The truth is that gratitude and trauma can exist at the same time.
If you see yourself in this post, I hope you know that your experience matters. Birth trauma is real, and support can make a profound difference. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened. It means finding a way to carry your story without feeling stuck in it.
We are hosting a Birth Trauma Support Group called Suffering in Silence. This workshop was created by moms who have experienced birth trauma themselves and are trained in maternal mental health. We’ve created a space to process, learn, connect, and be supported by people who understand the lasting impact birth trauma can have.
You don’t have to navigate this alone. 🤍
