Most cervical cancer is preventable. A Pap test and HPV screening find changes years before they become cancer, and up to 93 percent of cases could be prevented with screening and vaccination. Women 21 to 65 need a Pap every three years, or a Pap plus HPV test every five. If it has been longer than that, it is time. Healthy people still spread flu to the babies and grandparents who get seriously ill from it. And October is not too late, it is right on time, since flu usually peaks between December and February.
