GERIATRICS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM (Montefiore Moses & Weiler Divison)
Founded in 1983, the highly regarded geriatrics fellowship program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center is one of the oldest in the country and has trained more than 170 fellows - a generation of clinicians, academicians and national leaders in the field. The Montefiore-Einstein Geriatrics Fellowship
Program is ACGME-accredited and offers six positions in a comprehensive one-year program, preparing trainees for careers as educators as well as clinicians across all care settings. CURRICULUM
The Geriatrics Fellowship curriculum has ambulatory care, nursing home, geriatric inpatient care and elective rotations. Unique electives include a hip-fracture consultation service, and consultative care at the Center for Aging Brain. In addition, we provide an extensive schedule of didactic seminars, multidisciplinary conferences, case conferences and journal clubs. Fellows are encouraged to participate in aging-related research through our close collaboration with Albert Einstein College of Medicine and present their work at national geriatrics meetings.
