BronxCare’s Division of Cardiology, under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Bella, is at the forefront in the prevention and treatment of heart disease. It continues to earn Gold Plus, Gold, and Honor Roll recognitions from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. BronxCare is also one of a select group of health care organizations participating in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Million Hearts Cardiovascular Disease Risk Reduction Model, a national initiative providing an important opportunity to decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease. BronxCare Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center Network, in conjunction with Healthfirst, Moments for Life, and NYPD Community Affairs, will host a “Baby Shower” event for expectant mothers and their families in the Bronx community.
