🌈 Our Beautiful Lalique 🐾❤️
It is with a broken heart that I share that our beautiful Lalique has gone to Heaven. 🌈🐕
Many of you here have known Lalique since she was just a puppy. You watched her grow up through the years, alongside Prada, Charlie and the rest of our bunch. You celebrated birthdays with her, followed her adventures, watched her dress up for every occasion 😂, and saw her become the sweet, gentle golden girl we loved so very much.
Lalique lived a beautiful life.
She was part of our family’s everyday moments and so many of our most special ones. She was there for celebrations, holidays, backyard pictures, family gatherings and countless ordinary days that I now realize were anything but ordinary. ❤️
She shared such a special life with Charlie. They grew older together, posed for more pictures than either of them probably ever wanted 😂, celebrated their accomplishments and birthdays together, and were simply companions through the years. Seeing one without the other will take some getting used to. 💔
Lalique was also part of my journey with Walking with Prada. She stood beside Charlie at the library when I shared Prada’s story, another beautiful chapter connecting the dogs who have shaped so much of my life.
The last years were not always easy for our girl. Her body became tired. She faced surgeries, mobility problems and eventually lost much of her sight. But through all of it, she remained Lalique—sweet, trusting, loving, and happiest when she was surrounded by her family.
When it became clear that her body was asking for more than we should ask of her, we made the most painful decision love sometimes requires. We let her go peacefully, surrounded by the people who loved her. We kissed her, held her, talked to her and made sure that until her very last moment, she knew she was not alone.
My heart is shattered, but I am also incredibly grateful.
Grateful that we got to love her for all these years.
Grateful for every silly picture and every celebration.
Grateful for every paw print she left on our lives.
Grateful that she was ours. ❤️
And I like to think that somewhere beyond what we can see, there was quite a welcoming committee waiting for our girl. 🌈🐾
To everyone on Prada’s Bunch and Friends who has loved Lalique, commented on her pictures, celebrated her birthdays, prayed for her and followed her life through the years—thank you for loving our girl with us.
This page has always been about more than dogs. It has been about the extraordinary love they bring into our lives and the family we become because of them.
Lalique was a beautiful part of that story.
Run free, my sweet girl.
No more hurting. No more tired legs. No more darkness.
Just sunshine, freedom and all the friends who went before you.
Until we meet again, Lalique. 🌈🐾❤️
You were loved every single day of your life. And you always will be.
