We recently celebrated our Programming Specialist, April, as she prepares to embark on a new chapter in her life. Throughout her time at WBV, April has shared her creativity, dedication and so much joy with our community, leaving us with many reasons to be grateful for the time we’ve had together.

One of our favorite celebrations of the year is back, and we’re bringing a little Bavaria to Buena Vista with festive flavors, Oktoberfest traditions, and many reasons to raise a glass.

A taste of Napa Valley, right here in The Villages! 🍷🍇

Our Delicious Destinations: Greetings from Napa Valley "Food & Wine Bazaar" brought wine country to our community with a Napa Valley wine tasting and appetizers selected to complement each pour. The evening continued with live entertainment from “Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice,” featuring Krista Joy, Tony, and Michelle Falsetto. 🎶

We loved welcoming prospective residents, current residents, friends, and neighbors to join us for the evening. Thank you to everyone who came along to our Delicious Destination: Napa Valley event!

Mornings at Watercrest Buena Vista start with a little momentum. 💪

Our Assisted Living residents get moving with "Move Freely," led by Neil, who guides the group through movement designed to keep everyone active and ready for the day ahead.

What started as a seashell craft became a very proud aunt moment for Wilma. 🐚

Her niece, Bobbie, volunteered to lead an art class for our Watercrest Buena Vista residents, sharing her creativity and artistic talents with the community. When Wilma saw the craft room set up and realized her niece would be the one teaching everyone, the emotion took over.
Watching someone you love share what they do best is special at any age.

Thank you, Bobbie, for giving our residents a wonderful afternoon of creativity, and Wilma a moment she clearly won’t soon forget!

Our residents came together to support a blood drive with OneBlood, rolling up their sleeves to help provide lifesaving blood for those who need it. Thank you to OneBlood for giving our community an opportunity to turn a day of recognition into an act of service.

A good game keeps more than the cards and tiles moving. 🃏

At WBV, Samba and Rummikub are favorites for putting our minds to work while spending quality time together. Following the cards, spotting patterns, and planning the next move offer an engaging challenge, while the friendly competition gives everyone another reason to pull up a chair and participate.

Watercrest Buena Vista went under the sea for dinner, and our residents dove right in! 🦀🌊

Harpist Gary set the mood as everyone arrived dressed for the occasion, surrounded by ocean-inspired décor that transformed the room for the evening. Dinner kept the theme going, while the music and playful details made the whole experience feel like a little escape beneath the waves.

No scuba gear required! Just a good appetite and a willingness to go along for the adventure.
