Pictures like this make me remember just how sweet and cherished those newborn moments were. 🤍
But… also it’s a flash back of memories & how hard things were.
Not pictured: horrible reflux, cow’s milk protein intolerance, a tongue tie and release, stretches, oral exercises, tummy time, chiropractor visits, screaming nights, the bottle refusals, and very little sleep 😵💫
Not pictured is me feeling like I was failing. Trying so hard to compensate for his poor feedings that I created a massive oversupply—which only made everything worse. Choking, coughing, pulling off, practically drowning at the breast.
Also- not pictured was the lessons learned, the amazing progress we made, and us finally getting to uncompensated feedings at the breast. ♥️♥️
So when I tell you I hear you. I see you. And I understand how hard this can be—I truly mean that.
Because I’ve been there too. 🤍
And so much of how I support moms and babies today was shaped by being that overwhelmed mama myself. It’s what pushed me to pour myself into learning the deeper roots behind infant feeding and breastfeeding struggles. Because families deserve answers, support, and the absolute best care and outcomes. ♥️🫶🏼
