Connected Kids Therapy is Growing! We are a pediatric therapy clinic treating children with or without diagnosis experiencing difficulties due to medical or developmental concerns. Common areas addressed include: restrictive feeding concerns, delay in milestone achievement, difficulties with emotional regulation and sensory processing, fine motor and visual motor concerns, difficulties with strength/coordination and reflex integration.

Connected Kids Therapy is accepting new patients! We offer therapy services for children age 0-21 facing medical or developmental concerns with or without formal diagnosis. Common areas addressed are fine and gross motor skills, visual motor skills, sensory processing, feeding/restrictive feeding disorders, emotional regulation/ attention skills, and reflex integration. Picky Eater or Problem Feeder? The solution isn’t as easy as one might hope or expect when a child (or adult) has Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

The approach used at Connected Kids Therapy is based on systematic desensitization per the SOS Feeding model. We use play and food exploration to gradually build tolerance to new smells, tastes, and textures. Slowly, kids learn to tolerate new foods in a manner that respects the child and nurtures confidence in expiring new foods.

PLAY is the work of childhood. It is the key to how children learn and aquire skills.

I am so excited to have begun my journey to practicing DIR FLOORTIME in my sessions.

DIR FLOORTIME is quickly becoming the leading, evidence based, intervention for children on the autism spectrum. It respects and works with the child to build instrinsic drive for development and social engagement.

As always, I am learning and growing for the kids in our community. Let’s bring DIR FLOORTIME to Northwest Minnesota!
