🚨🐝 PREPARED TOGETHER. TRAINED TOGETHER. STRONGER TOGETHER. 🚁🚒🚑🚓

Last week, Pike County brought multiple agencies together for a full-scale active shooter training exercise, reinforcing one simple truth: when an emergency happens, preparation, communication, and teamwork matter.

The exercise brought together the Pike County EMA, Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Zebulon Police Dept., Pike County 911, Pike County Fire, Pike County School System, AmeriPro EMS, and Air Evac Lifeteam 185 — “The Hive” to train side-by-side for a situation we all hope never becomes reality.

Exercises like this give every agency the opportunity to practice their role while strengthening the coordination that has to happen across the entire response — from the first 911 call and law enforcement response, to fire and EMS operations, patient triage, treatment, transport, and air medical support.

🐝🚁 NEW WINGS ALERT🚁🐝

Today, Nate Enloe officially earned his wings with his first patient flight as a member of AE 185 – The Hive! 🎉

After a few shifts of patiently waiting, today was the day. The aircraft lifted, a safe patient flight was completed, and another milestone was etched into Nate’s journey as a critical care flight paramedic.

Dreams don’t happen by chance, they happen through relentless determination, long hours of training, and a commitment to serving others. Today, all of that hard work paid off.

A special shoutout to Brayden Braski for answering the call, sharing the excitement, and helping make Nate’s first flight one he’ll never forget. Those first-wing memories last a lifetime, and it’s even better when they’re shared with great teammates.

From everyone at The Hive, congratulations, Nate! We’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished so far, and we know this is only the beginning of an incredible career.

🐝🎒 The Hive was proud to be part of something truly special in Lamar County! 🎒🐝

Yesterday, AE 185 had the distinct pleasure of participating in the “Pack Your Backpack” event hosted by the Lamar County School System and the Lamar County Family Connection.

This incredible community effort brought together 30+ sponsors and vendors—including local businesses, churches, public safety agencies, healthcare organizations, and community partners—all united with one mission: making sure Lamar County students begin the school year with the tools they need to succeed.

With more than 700 students and families attending, the event was an overwhelming success. Thanks to the generosity of so many organizations, backpacks and school supplies were distributed to help students walk into the classroom prepared and confident for the year ahead.

At AE 185 “The Hive,” we know that caring for our community goes far beyond responding to emergencies. It’s about showing up, building relationships, supporting our neighbors, and investing in the next generation before they’re ever in need of us.

A heartfelt thank you to the Lamar County School System, Lamar County Family Connection, and every sponsor and vendor who made this event possible. We are honored to have been invited to stand alongside so many organizations dedicated to making a difference.

🐝🚁 When the Hive trains, the community grows stronger. 🚁🐝

Yesterday, Air Evac Lifeteam 185 – “The Hive” was proud to join the Lamar County School System, Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, Lamar County Fire Rescue, AmeriPro EMS, Barnesville Police Department, and many other dedicated public safety partners for a full-scale active school emergency exercise.

This marked a significant milestone as the first large-scale collaborative school safety exercise bringing all of these agencies together under one unified mission—to strengthen our response, improve communication, and ensure we are prepared for the moments we all hope never come.

We extend our sincere gratitude for the inclusion of The Hive, and to be part of this important training opportunity. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is a responsibility shared by every first responder, and we are honored to stand beside those committed to protecting our community.

While we all hope these skills are never called upon in a real emergency, we firmly believe that preparedness saves lives. Every scenario, every radio transmission, every patient assessment, and every lesson learned strengthens our ability to respond when seconds matter most.

Please help us welcome in a new sister base! Air Evac Lifeteam 190 is in service and ready to service the community.

We are proud to announce that Air Evac Lifeteam 190 - Valdosta, GA is officially open and ready to serve South Georgia communities, expanding access to advanced critical care for rural residents across the region. The new base will support EMS partnerships with South Georgia Medical Center, local and regional agencies and community partners while providing additional resources during large-scale emergencies. We look forward to the positive impact this expansion will have on the Valdosta community and surrounding areas as we continue our mission to providing lifesaving care when it matters most.
