With hearts filled with compassion and faith in God’s eternal promises, Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home announces the earthly transition of Mr. Joseph “Bay” Hayes, who answered the Master’s call on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

During this season of sorrow, we ask our community, family, and friends to please keep the Hayes family lifted in your prayers. May God’s grace provide strength for today, peace for every tomorrow, and comfort in the cherished memories that will forever remain in their hearts.

The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” We stand on His promise, believing that even in moments of grief, His love is ever-present.

On behalf of the management and staff of Hatcher Peoples Funeral Home, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the Hayes family. It is our honor to minister through service as we walk alongside them during this difficult time.

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4
