Today, we join so many in mourning the passing of Dolly Parton.

Her music brought joy to millions of people and became part of the soundtrack of so many lives. But her legacy goes far beyond music. Through her generosity and the Imagination Library, Dolly helped put books into the hands of children, while her support of communities, first responders, and those in need showed the kind of heart she carried throughout her life.

At Holly Hill, we know how important it is to remember those who made a difference in the lives of others. Dolly certainly did that.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and the millions who will miss her.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the kindness, and the joy. Your legacy will live on. ❤️

You may notice a little work going on around our Singing Tower over the next couple of weeks.

We’re doing some cleanup and improvements around the tower as part of our ongoing effort to make sure Holly Hill looks its very best. We’re always looking for ways to make our park more beautiful and welcoming for the families who visit and the loved ones who rest here.

We’re also getting the area ready for something very special. Our September 11th 25th Anniversary Memorial Service. This will be a very special morning of remembrance as we come together to honor the lives lost on September 11th, 2001, and remember the lasting impact that day had on our country and our community. That event will begin at 8:30am on Friday, September 11th.

So if you see a little dirt, mulch, or work happening around the Singing Tower, just know we’re getting things ready. We appreciate your patience, and we can’t wait to share the finished area with you. 😊

It’s hard to believe another school year is here! As our kids head back to the classroom, we want to wish all of our local students, teachers, administrators, and school staff a safe, successful, and wonderful year ahead.

Whether it’s a little one starting kindergarten, a senior beginning their final year, or a teacher getting ready to welcome a new class...We’re cheering you on!

A big thank you to Thomasville Pediatrics for their generous donation to help support the Fairgrove Family Resource Center food drive!

We’re grateful for local businesses and organizations that continue to step up and help make sure families in our community have access to food and other essential resources.

And, of course, this one came with a little extra bonus for us. Jamal got to take the picture with his wife, Kelly, who is an LPN at Thomasville Pediatrics! It’s always nice when work and family cross paths for a good cause.

🇺🇸 HOLLY HILL REMEMBERS: 25 YEARS LATER 🇺🇸

Holly Hill Memorial Park, in partnership with Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations - Thomasville, invites our community to come together on Friday, September 11th as we remember the 2,977 lives lost, honor the heroes who answered the call, and reflect on the courage and unity that followed.

Join us for a meaningful morning featuring patriotic music, special guests and speakers, a moment of silence at 8:46am, a dove release, ceremonial tributes honoring first responders, a wreath laying, mayoral proclamations, and other meaningful moments of remembrance.

We are honored to be joined by public officials from the The City of Thomasville, NC, Town of Denton, NC, surrounding communities, Davidson County, and other very special guests, community leaders, and first responders.

25 years have passed. The memories remain.

We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

Well, it looks like we’ve got a new little family calling Holly Hill home!

Mama duck has been keeping a close eye on her newest crew, and these little ones are already busy exploring the pond.

We’re happy to have them here and can’t wait to watch these little fluffballs grow up. Be sure to say hello if you spot Mama and her babies during your next visit to Holly Hill!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for last night’s Holly Hill Lantern Night.

It was a beautiful evening of remembrance and reflection, and we’re grateful to everyone who came out to honor the people we carry in our hearts.

We still have two Lantern Nights remaining this year:

~September 17th at 7:00pm
~October 22nd at 7:00pm (This event will also include our “Letters to Heaven” ceremony)

We hope you’ll join us for one or both of these special evenings as we continue to remember, reflect, and keep memories alive.

We’re grateful to see local businesses challenging one another to make a difference right here in our community.

A big thank-you to Colonial Grind, Garrett's Towing & Recovery, LLC, Quality Tire & Automotive, inc., The Blend Coffee Shop and Brandyberry & Associates for contributing to our food drive for the Fairgrove Family Resource Center .

What makes this especially meaningful is seeing local businesses step up, challenge each other, and turn a little friendly competition into something that benefits families in need. Every contribution helps ensure that our neighbors have access to food resources when they need them most.
