A big Thank You to Ventura County Supervisor Jeff Gorell and to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors for recognizing Westminster Free Clinic & Community Care Center's 340 high school students for their hard work and dedication! 🙌

A big thank you to the Westminster Free Clinic and Community Care Center and the more than 340 local students who participated in an outstanding internship program, gaining valuable hands-on healthcare experience while serving our community. Our Board was honored to recognize these outstanding students yesterday.

For more than 50 years, this incredible nonprofit has provided free, high-quality healthcare to uninsured working families throughout Ventura County while helping inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through its Teen Healthcare Pathways Internship Program, students work alongside volunteer physicians and medical professionals, exploring careers in healthcare while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Thank you to everyone who makes this important work possible.

This Thanksgiving, all of us at Westminster Free Clinic and Community Care Center are especially thankful for our donors, volunteers, and supporters. Because of you, we are able to:

*provide 17,000+ free medical services annually to low-income, uninsured people,
*distribute healthy food to over 600 families every week, and
*help prepare over 300 high school students for college and/or for careers in healthcare.

CALL TO ACTION! Our Families Need You Now More Than Ever!

In 2025 alone, Westminster Free Clinic & Community Care Center has supported more than 12,500 hardworking families — including 3,400 farmworker families — with free:

🍎 Healthy food
🧼 Hygiene & household essentials
👶 Diapers & clothing
🧠 Mental health care
💊 In-person and telehealth medical services
🦷 Dental services
👀vision services… and more

But the need is greater than ever. You can help by donating urgently needed items like:

🧴 Hygiene products (feminine care, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)
🧽 Household essentials (dish soap, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies)
💧 Bottled water and other daily basics

Drop-offs are welcome at any of our three clinic locations as follows:

📍Oxnard – Tuesdays, 12–9PM
📍Thousand Oaks – Wednesdays, 12–9PM
📍Santa Paula – Thursdays, 4–6PM
