A huge thank you to the amazing Alex Yorke Alex Yorke for visiting our Newborn Baby & I Class to talk to us about car seat safety! 🚗👶

This was such a vital conversation, and our parents had so many questions. Alex gave personal attention to every family, even adjusting infant car seats on-site - we ended up staying an hour over our class time because everyone was so engaged!

On top of being a Child Passenger Safety Technician, Alex is a mom of two, an educational consultant, the founder of The School Network, and The Butterfly Center alumna.

Alex works alongside Safe Kids Santa Barbara County, an organization dedicated to keeping our little ones safe. They offer FREE in-person car seat inspections in Simi Valley and Camarillo - all you have to do is book an appointment at SafeKidsVenturaCounty.org.
There is nothing more important than the peace of mind that comes with keeping our children safe.

Back in January, due to popular demand, we added a brand-new class for families with 0-6 m/o babies who have older siblings. And what an amazing experience it has been! A soft space for a weekly dose of calmness. A non-judgmental space designed specifically for parents navigating the “expansion” of their family.

We celebrate the joys and explore the unique hurdles of meeting the needs of a newborn and older children simultaneously. It’s a challenging transition that redefines who we are as parents and reshapes how we parent. Navigating this stage of parenting together has been incredibly empowering and validating.

This class is also your opportunity to focus solely on their new baby, allowing for bonding and observation without distractions.

Navigating this transition together is so much more empowering than doing it alone. Join us to find your village and catch your breath.

The class is intended for parent/s and their babies (ages 0–6 months) only, and we ask that older siblings do not attend.

✨Our BABY & I CLASS SERIES is the perfect way to make sure you and your baby are thriving during these early months.

This series is about active discovery! It’s fun, supportive, and designed for that sweet “Mindful Beginnings” philosophy. Your baby learns; you learn; you both grow.

💖 What you’ll experience together:
- Gentle, supervised baby play and sensory engagement
- Song, rhythm, and gentle movements
- Developmental insight and useful tips

🤗This is a cohesive group that stays together for the full 10 weeks, meaning your little one grows up right alongside their first friends. It’s the sweetest thing to witness.

“Breath, Books and Belonging” at Vitality Village Studio - RECAP

Yesterday, parents with their little ones gathered at for the evening of “Breath, Books and Belonging”.

In the whirlwind of early parenthood, finding a space dedicated entirely to slowing down, breathing, and intentionally building a village is incredibly vital.

“Breath, Books and Belonging” perfectly captured exactly what so many families need right now - a soft landing spot where parents can exhale and children can feel deeply anchored.

The evening felt magical - with collective moments of centering the nervous system through guided breathing and calming soundbath - which ripples directly down to the kids. It was amazing to witness that when we co-regulate and find calm, our children feel safe enough to explore and connect.

Read-aloud stories and songs served as the ultimate tool for shared attention. Sitting together, listening to a book created a gentle focus that didn’t rely on screens or loud entertainment - just the rhythm of a voice and the warmth of a lap.

Stepping into Vitality Village Studio yesterday evening felt grounding and healing like “Ah, these are my people, and we are in this together”.
