The space between our four homes was designed for exactly this.

A putting green for a slow afternoon round. A gazebo with enough shade to sit and talk a while. A bar area made for gathering, whether it is a morning coffee or an evening celebration.We built the outdoors here to bring people together, because time outside is good for the body and even better for the spirit.

Most assisted living communities are one large building. We are four separate homes, each with its own kitchen, its own garden, and a small group of residents who actually know each other.

Fewer people under one roof means more attention, more familiarity, and a day that feels like home instead of a facility.

It is a different way to age well, and it is the whole reason we built it this way.

Choosing a home for someone you love is not a decision anyone feels ready for. Most families we meet arrive with a folder of brochures and no idea what to actually ask once they are standing in the hallway.

So we wrote down the seven questions we would want someone to ask us. Some of them are practical. A few of them are uncomfortable. All of them will tell you more in five minutes than a tour ever could.

Good homes welcome hard questions. If a place hesitates on any of these, that tells you something worth knowing.
