The Toy Box Open House are interactive workshops for families and children to explore different ways to engage and play with toys, games, and books. The Next Toy Box Open House will be on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Because of Educational Insightsā€™ generosity, families and children are able to enjoy a morning filled with fun, connection, and the excitement of selecting toys that inspire creativity, learning, and play.

Last month, our adult Community-Based Day Program visited Ventura Harbor Village to take part in an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month activity. As part of the month-long celebration, Ventura Harbor Village hosted a Gyotaku fish printing workshop, a traditional Japanese art form that originated in the 1800s.

The group was invited to stay for the entire workshop and enjoy exploring Ventura Harbor Village, thanks to Momentum Refresh's presence at the event. It was a meaningful day of creativity, cultural learning, and community connection.

member, Nola, a junior at Chadwick High School. Her Mom, Suzana, sister, Kaila, and other NCL Volunteers reached out to Momentum to see if they could help with a beautification project outside of the lobby of Momentumā€™s Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance. Nola led a team of volunteers repainting decorative poles and rocks with a message to welcome and encourage the children who receive their Early Intervention and therapies at the Momentum location.
