That βtight muscleβ might not be a muscle at all. π
A common instinct is to stretch the area that feels tight. But when that tightness is coming from an irritated or compressed nerve, aggressively stretching it may increase tension on the nerve rather than help it.
The goal is to understand why the nerve is irritated in the first place and choose movements that work with the nerve rather than continually aggravating it.
Thatβs why identifying the source matters.
