Fortitude Gym officially opened last weekend, and Be Ready is excited to be working in the space alongside Kat McCord with Fortitude and Jaime McCafferty of True North Athletic Therapy. I will still be at V42 and still offering the same high level physiotherapy and digital rehab coaching. This simply gives us another environment to serve people well.

With this, we have also launched the first cohort of the Power Lab in this space. It is a bridge between high level rehab and serious sport performance, and a place for athletes to build durable, resilient bodies. More to come as this first group dives in and we get it right for the rest of the community.

All in a place and in a program where athletes of all ages can take their rehab and play seriously.

If you want clarity on your pain and your next step back to performing well, send us a message.

I hate the be the bearer of bad news... but really, I think this is good news.

There is a time and place for most of the tools of the trade (emphasis on MOST).

But if you’re an active person or an athlete and your PT consists of laying on a table, hooked up to various machines, a little massage, and some scraping with no progressive loading principles or a plan to build back to high-level athletic endeavors then...

Your therapy isn’t set up for you to actually get you the outcomes you’re looking for.

I see too many people in my practice who tell me they have “tried PT” but when asked, they were given all the passive modalities in the world and never given a plan.

Food for thought for the day: what you want out of life is the most critical factor in creating a good plan of care. And your PT should prioritize that.

Reminder: high quality care doesn’t have to mean it takes all of your time.

A lynchpin of the virtual model is that it is built to fit into your life, plain and simple. No commute. No time off work. Just the results you’re looking for in a way that works for you.

Curious what it would look like to get the care you need while meeting the demands of your busy schedule? Message me “time” today.

Merry Christmas, everyone (a day late, I get it).

This holiday season was even busier than the past between moving, settling into a new community, and the usual hectic holiday schedule.

But we are fortunate to have the families and friends we do, that make it worth it.

I hope you all had a great Christmas; it comes quickly and passes even quicker. This is the stuff that helps remind you what it is all for.

Some targets are easier to poke fun at than others.

A little fun to call light to light how many of us have outdated or limiting beliefs about our health, our bodies, and what it takes to turn the ship around.

We will to help you navigate those beliefs in 2025 to make it your year (cringe and cliche, I know, but if the shoe fits...) 😂

Enjoy a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones!

It isn’t just about the physical portion of a training routine; showing up for 15 minutes during the holiday season keeps the habit alive (and habits are health) and keeps your mind engaged with what you’re trying to accomplish.

Don’t be worried about it being perfect; it won’t be.

That said, the most important thing you can do during the holiday season is being present with your loved ones.

Get your sessions in, sure, but take the time to appreciate the moments, recharge, and set yourself up for success as we get set to kick off 2025.
