We are excited to invite you and your family to Kickin' Down Barriers Day with the Tiffin University Football Team!
Many of you know this event as Victory Day. This year, we are proud to continue that tradition under a new name—Kickin' Down Barriers Day. While the name has changed, the heart of the event remains the same: creating an unforgettable experience that celebrates inclusion, friendship, and the joy of being part of a team.
Join Tiffin University football players and cheerleaders for a fun-filled evening of unified football, cheer, teamwork, and community alongside individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Whether you're scoring a touchdown, cheering on your teammates, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, everyone will have the opportunity to be part of something special.

Location: Frost-Kalnow Stadium, Tiffin University
Registration & Check-In: 6:30 PM
Kickin' Down Barriers Day Begins: 7:00 PM

Who Can Participate?
This event is open to individuals ages 6 and older with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. Family members, friends, and caregivers are encouraged to attend and support our participants.

Dr. and Mrs. Kakarala have graciously donated backpacks again for this year's stuff the bus! Donations are being taken from Monday, August 8th to Friday, August 7th (8:30am - 3:30pm) at the Allen Eiry Center. Pick up supplies on Monday, August 10 (7:00am - 4:00pm) and Tuesday, August 11th (10:00 am - 6:00pm) at the Allen Eiry Center. No registration required, but you must bring a supply list from the school for pickup. Any further questions should be directed to the United Way of North Central Ohio.

I would like to convey my deepest thanks and gratitude from the very bottom of my heart to all the area parents for trusting me with the health and well being of their children all these years.
Coming to Tiffin has proven to be one of the very best decisions of my entire life. I had an extremely satisfying and tremendously successful professional career doing what I love most—taking care of thousands and thousands of children these past nearly 50 years and seeing them grow up over the years with many eventually returning with children of their own.
I wish everyone health, happiness, and peace.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Dr. Kakarala’s incredible 45 years of service and retirement from Tiffin Pediatrics. 💛

The love and support shown by our community meant so much to him and to all of us. Seeing generations of families come together to honor a doctor who dedicated his life to caring for children was truly something special.

Dr. Kakarala’s passion for pediatrics and genuine love for his patients has always been at the heart of everything he did. For 45 years, he cared for this community with compassion, dedication, and kindness—and the turnout was a beautiful reflection of the impact he made on so many lives.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, shared memories, and helped make this celebration unforgettable.

It's party time!! Please help us wish Dr. Kakarala off at his retirement party today at Hedges Boyer Park. It is a time to say good bye, share those stories, and celebrate an incredible man! Party starts at 1pm and ends at 4pm. We will have bounce houses snow cones, food and more (all free).🎉🥳🎉

After an incredible 45 years in pediatrics, Dr. Kakarala is officially retiring! 💙

For generations of families, Dr. Kakarala has been more than just a pediatrician — he has been a trusted friend, a comforting smile, and the doctor who somehow remembered not only your name, but your parents, siblings, and even grandparents too. His kindness, generosity, wisdom, and dedication have touched thousands of lives in our community.

Now it’s time for us to celebrate HIM!
