Day by day we are called to be light for our patients and colleagues, especially when they need reassurance that the light of morning is coming. We are called to shine light as Jesus did: to see clearly, act courageously, and love compassionately.

“You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.” — Psalm 18:28 NIV

Exceptional care is built on trust, attention to detail, and strong relationships, and we're grateful when patients take the time to share their experiences.

Recently, two patients independently recognized Kim Kittell, PA, for the care they received at our Tillamook primary and specialty care medical office. One patient described Kim as "wonderful, friendly, thorough, and efficient," while also praising Brooklyn, her medical assistant, for being friendly and helpful. Another patient shared that Kim is a "phenomenal provider" who is thorough and diligent, adding that they feel they are receiving great care.

Thank you to Kim, Brooklyn, and our entire primary care team for the compassionate, patient-centered care you provide every day. Feedback like this reflects the dedication of our caregivers and the importance of having trusted healthcare providers close to home.

When we think about health, we often focus on the physical. World Mental Health Day is a reminder that your mental health matters, and we’re here to be your partner in whole-person care — mind, body, and spirit.

If you are experiencing challenges with your mental health, it can be overwhelming to know who to talk to or how to seek help. But there is hope. Talk to your healthcare provider about what you’re experiencing. They will be able to talk to you about treatments, support groups, and resources to cope with mental illness. For more information on mental health services near you or to take a free depression risk assessment, visit adventisthealth.org/services/mental-health.
