I'm going to be honest and vulnerable here for a moment...

I put a lot of my heart and soul into my business and while I try to stay active and positive on my social media, the truth is that it's not going very well. My sales are so low that I've made less than $100 a month in sales the past few months and it's only gone downhill since I haven't been able to do the community market with my health. I've used the money from sales to try and grow my business to be more successful. I've expanded a few times into new categories to try and figure out what people want, but there's really been no change in sales.

The mobile market Saturday was a bit disheartening, but to the two lovely ladies who did come see me, thank you so much. You have no idea how much it meant to me. After sitting there for an hour and a half with no one stopping, I started to feel like it was all pointless. Then the first customer stopped by. She bought two cinnamon rolls and those two cinnamon rolls gave me hope. Later on, the second customer came by and she got a bunch of fun things from soap bags, to beeswax balm, to garlic herb flatbreads. Thank you both so much for stopping. It really means a lot to me.

This is the truth though for a lot of small businesses. We do our best to make a quality handmade product, do visually appealing packaging, have active social media accounts, and much more, but the sales aren't there. I know the economy isn't great and we're all struggling, but if there's something you need anyways, please consider shopping from a small business. When you do, you are directly supporting your community, getting quality handmade or locally grown goods, and supporting someone's dreams.

🎉 Today is the day! 🎉

🚗Come and see me in the Timberville Food Lion parking lot near the main road from now until 8pm. I've got some cinnamon rolls with three icing flavors: buttercream, strawberry, and brown butter toffee with caramel drizzle. I also have some tasty garlic herb flatbreads made with rosemary and thyme from my own garden. There's strawberry syrup available as well to make fun drinks or to top a dessert.

😋 Cinnamon Rolls Now Available! 😋

Looking for a sweet treat to brighten your day? Perhaps a lil' something for brunch? I've got you covered with my made from scratch cinnamon rolls! They come in a few different flavors, with more on the way! When you place your order, I bake your tray of rolls and make the icing so they come nice and fresh! Due to this, please allow at least 3 hours from time of order to delivery/pickup time.

According to VA Cottage Law (Section 3.2-5130), this product can not be sold to other businesses (grocery, restaurant, etc), be resold, sold across state lines, or sold online (with payment). Any payments for food items must be done in person. I can accept card, Venmo, Cashapp, or cash upon meeting/local delivery.

🎈🎉 Grand Opening - Mobile Shop 🎉🎈

This Saturday, August 15th from 4-8, I'll have the mobile pop up-shop set up in the Food Lion parking lot in Timberville next to the Hardee's.

Planning on going to the Rockingham County fair? Stop by on your way there to fuel up and get ready with some homemade goods.

🫓 Made from scratch cinnamon rolls with a few icing flavors to choose from, as well as garlic herb flatbreads made with my homegrown herbs. I'll have free samples to try (photos coming soon. 🤫).

🍓 Strawberry syrup that is sweet, fruity, and refreshing. It goes well in lemonades, sodas, on desserts and more! I'll have free samples available of this as well.

🎉 Grand Reveal! 🎉

I've finally perfected the Hazel Mountain Creations mobile storefront!

I know it's not your typical shop, but sometimes we have to think outside the box. I was doing markets as a vendor throughout the season, and even then it took a lot out of me. Setting up the tables, canopy, and moving all my products in and out of my van twice was exhausting; not to mention the heat. After having surgery and getting an official diagnosis of what is going on (stage 4 endometriosis), I knew I needed to pivot and think outside the box. It's going to be a long journey to try and heal my body, but I miss being out in the community and need to grow my business. I needed a way to significantly reduce my workload to something I can manage, but still offer in person shopping and pop-up events. My solution: the mobile storefront. All the shelves, displays, signs, and fabric products stay in the shop. The body care products, cleaners, and pantry items are kept inside in a temperature controlled climate until I'm on the move to ensure the best quality possible.

I finally found a lovely, full rosemary bush a few weeks ago and it has been thriving. 🥰
