Before the first whistle blows, before the first game begins and before anyone steps onto the field, court or track, there’s one important step for student-athletes to check off their list: a sports physical.
That’s exactly what IU Health Tipton Hospital helped local students take care of recently, offering free sports physicals to student-athletes attending Tipton and Tri-Central schools.
A total of 179 student-athletes participated, marking another successful year of supporting local families as they prepare for the fall sports season.
The free event, which is offered annually, is made possible through the support of volunteer providers and team members who donate their time to help ensure local students are healthy and ready for the season ahead. This year’s event was coordinated by Joyce VanHoosier and Shelli Smith.
We're proud to offer this event and support the health and well-being of local students and families.
