Spa day is the best day!

With all of our busy activities sometimes we need to slow down, relax, and enjoy a little pampering. Our residents enjoyed some well-deserved time to unwind and be treated to a relaxing spa day.

Happy 1st of September!

We are all very excited for the busy month we have ahead. September is filled with exciting events, including the Pork Festival, National Assisted Living Week, Senior Expo, Games, and so much more.

Join us all month long as we enjoy fun adventures, make wonderful memories, and celebrate together. We cannot wait to share all of the excitement with you!

Celebrating 10 Years with Miller’s

Join us in celebrating Jessica Teter on 10 wonderful years with Miller’s Merry Manor!

Jessica is currently the Activities Director at Autumnwood Village, but throughout her time with Miller’s, she has worn many hats, including Activities, Social Services, PCA, CNA, Transportation, and Cook.

Autumnwood Village RSD Peggy Gilland shared, “Jessica is always willing to help everyone and go out of her way for the residents. She loves going on adventures with all the residents and is constantly reliable, caring and helpful. Jessica is cross trained and can work in many different departments and is actually a very good cook.”

Thank you, Jessica, for 10 years of hard work, dedication, and care for our residents and team. We appreciate everything you do and are so grateful to have you as part of the Miller’s family!

Congratulations to Angie on celebrating 10 years with Miller’s Merry Manor!

Ten years is an incredible accomplishment, and we are so grateful to have Angie as part of the Autumnwood Village team. Throughout her time with Miller’s, Angie has held several positions, including PCA, CNA, activities, and housekeeping and laundry. She has done an amazing job in every role.

Our Autumnwood Village RSD, Peggy Gilland, shared, “Angie is always very reliable, caring, and helpful at everything she does. She is amazing at finding any lost items, no matter where they may be. All of the residents and families love Angie!”

Thank you, Angie, for 10 years of hard work, dedication, and care. We appreciate everything you do for our residents, families, and team. Keep up the great work!

Autumnwood Village recently visited Harrah’s Hoosier Park Casino! While none of us won big, we all had a wonderful time. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Meet Genny Fennell, a new resident at Autumnwood Village! Genny is originally from Sharpeville and graduated with the class of 1957, but she has called Tipton home for more than 40 years.

Genny and her husband of 45 years, Jesse, shared five children together. They owned and operated a chicken farm together, and in her free time, Genny has always enjoyed reading and sewing.

Since moving to Autumnwood Village, Genny has found a few things she especially loves. “I really like the kitchen and all the delicious food they serve. I also love the library on the 3rd floor, conveniently located right outside my room. They have some great books that I really enjoy reading.”

Welcome to the Autumnwood Village family, Genny! We are all so happy to have you here with us!

Look at these beautiful wreaths some of the residents of Autumnwood Village made recently! Jackie chose to make a Christmas wreath, and Genny decided to make a red, white, and blue wreath. They worked for hours on these, and they turned out amazing! Great job, ladies!

You never know who you might run into at Autumnwood Village! Everyone loves to sit outside on nice days, visiting with each other and anyone who might stop by!

It is our favorite time of year when all the gardens are going strong! We love having fresh, locally grown vegetables generously donated to Autumnwood Village every summer! The residents always jump right in to help snap beans and reminisce about their own gardens throughout the years.
