When a serious knee injury ended Gallatin High School quarterback Jackson Stroup's senior season, the dream he'd spent years pursuing suddenly felt out of reach.

Through determination, faith, rehabilitation and compassionate orthopedic care, Jackson fought his way back and continues his football career at the collegiate level.

The DAISY Award honors nurses who provide extraordinary clinical care and compassion to the patients and families they serve. Thanks to the incredible number of nominations we receive, we've expanded our DAISY recognition program from quarterly awards to monthly awards, allowing us to recognize even more of the exceptional nurses making a difference across our organization.

Michael was nominated by a patient family member who shared how his kindness, clear communication and genuine connection helped create a positive experience during an ER visit.
