A space for women, created by women who understand just how much women carry đŸ«‚

Bloom was built around the belief that women’s mental health deserves care that feels safe, connected, compassionate, and accessible.

A place where you can talk about motherhood, postpartum, anxiety, trauma, relationships, identity, life transitions, or simply the fact that you don’t quite feel like yourself lately.

Through therapy, medication management, EMDR, lactation support, support groups, community resources, and virtual care, we’re here to meet women in the season they’re actually in.

No need to have it all together before you walk through the door.

For women, by women. This is Bloom 🌾

What if
fall felt different? Not because you suddenly have everything figured out, but because you stopped believing you had to carry everything alone.

A new season can be a gentle reminder to check in with yourself, make space for what you need, and find support before you’re completely overwhelmed.

Whether that looks like starting therapy, joining a support group, talking with a provider, finding community, or simply admitting that things have been a lot lately, there’s no wrong place to begin.

At Bloom, blooming and becoming are always in season đŸ€

Sometimes you just need to sit in a room with people who understand

That’s the heart behind Bloom’s groups: creating spaces where women and families can show up exactly as they are, find connection, and remember they don’t have to navigate every season alone.

You don’t have to have it all together to belong here.

Our (free!) fall support groups for women are now forming in Toledo and Findlay. Check out our groups lineup on our social platforms and find a space that’s right for you.

Motherhood can bring profound joy, but it can also bring anxiety, isolation, identity shifts, physical recovery, sleep deprivation, relationship changes, and mental health challenges. And too often, women are expected to navigate all of it while the systems around them remain fragmented.

At Bloom, women’s mental health is our mission. That means we’re not just interested in treating what’s happening after someone reaches a breaking point. We’re interested in asking what support could look like before she gets there.

What if postpartum mental health was treated as an ongoing part of healthcare, not an afterthought?

What if mothers knew where to turn before they were in crisis?

What if asking for help was expected, supported, and normalized?

We don’t have every answer. But we believe these are conversations worth having, and we want to have them with our community.

What do you think mothers need more of?
What would better support look like to you?

Let’s keep asking. Let’s keep listening.

📚 What My Therapist Is Reading

This week, we’re switching it up! Our featured reader isn’t a therapist, but she plays an important role in creating connection and community here at Bloom đŸ€

Meet Katie, our Support Groups Coordinator! She’s been enjoying The Bright Years by Sarah Damoff.

Katie shares:

“This book gripped me from the very beginning. It’s told through multiple points of view, each exploring the toll that time, addiction, loss, and unresolved pain can take on relationships. The author does such a powerful job portraying the many sides of grief, shame, loss, love, and the cycles that can carry through generations. The characters felt deeply human. They were flawed, complicated, and lovable.”

*Please check content warnings before reading.

We love getting a glimpse into the books that inspire, challenge, and resonate with the people who make up the Bloom community 📖

The truth is, postpartum mental health is far more common than many people realize. Yet too many mothers navigate a system that can feel confusing, disconnected, and difficult to access.

This post isn’t about assigning blame or offering simple answers. It’s about creating space for a conversation that mothers deserve.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing evidence-based information, asking important questions, and exploring what more connected, whole-person postpartum care could look like. We’ll also be inviting perspectives from our therapists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Most importantly, we’d love to hear from you.

What questions do you have about postpartum mental health? What support do you wish existed for mothers and families? What conversations aren’t we having often enough?

Let’s learn together, advocate together, and continue building a community where no woman has to navigate postpartum mental health alone

As we’ve reflected on the conversations happening around maternal mental health, one thing has become increasingly clear: women deserve care that doesn’t exist in silos.

Mental health isn’t separate from postpartum care. Postpartum care isn’t separate from lactation support. Medication management isn’t separate from therapy. Community isn’t separate from healing.

At Bloom, we’ve intentionally built a model of care that recognizes women are whole people, not a collection of disconnected appointments.

That’s why our practice offers therapy, medication management, EMDR, lactation consulting, support groups, community resource closets, and partnerships with trusted local providers. We believe women deserve coordinated, compassionate care through every season of life.

This isn’t just what we do, it’s why we exist.

As we continue this conversation over the coming weeks, we’d love to hear from you.
—What does whole-person care mean to you?
—What support do you wish existed for women in our community?

Are we ready for this conversation?

Lately, postpartum mental health has become part of a much larger public conversation. As a practice dedicated to caring for women, we believe this is a conversation worth having thoughtfully, compassionately, and with a focus on solutions.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing our perspective on topics like postpartum mental health, gaps in care, access to support, and what whole-person care for mothers could look like. Not because we have all the answers, but because we believe women deserve better questions, better conversations, and better support.

⭐We’d love for this to be a dialogue⭐

đŸ©·What questions do you have about postpartum mental health or the postpartum experience?

đŸ©·What do you wish more people understood?

💭 Leave your questions below, and our therapists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will answer them throughout this series.

Let’s keep this conversation going, for mothers, for families, and for the future of women’s mental health
