Wildflower Family Chiropractic We aim to help families discover health and wellness through a natural approach. About the Chiropractor

Dr. Seitz grew up just outside of Tama, IA.

Early in life she was inspired by her father to look into Chiropractic. Although, her first degree was in animal science, her passion for helping people emerged and she changed her course. In her plan to move towards wellness she discovered a few health concerns she had and was unsatisfied with the answers she was given. Between the fatigue, weight gain, and hair loss from hypothyroidism, and pers

onality changes associated with severe hormone imbalances Dr. Seitz was desperate to make some changes in her life. Her first Chiropractic experience was in 2006. The doctor explained how removing nerve interference the body will heal itself. Still skeptical, Dr. Seitz was given high doses of antibiotics to relieve a sinus infection she had over spring break. Those high doses killed all the good bacteria in her body and she was left with all the bad, an infection known as Clostridium Difficile. She recovered several months later with the help of probiotics, more antibiotics, and Chiropractic care. Shortly after, Dr. Seitz was rear ended causing whiplash. With that, her migraines peaked. After a few months of continued care, her migraines dropped in number and severity. With all the help Chiropractic did for her, it solidified her path to bring natural wellness to the community. In 2012, Dr. Seitz began schooling at Palmer College of Chiropractic. There it was discovered she had Scoliosis, a lateral curve in the spine. She was devastated but with the support from chiropractic she has been able to overcome the fears she associated with the condition. During her time at Palmer, Dr. Seitz met a chiropractor who also worked with functional medicine. Between his specific adjustments and supplementation, and making changes to her diet, she has had her hormones rebalanced and no longer has a thyroid condition. By changing her life and embracing all aspects of chiropractic her health has never been better. Through all of these life experiences, she was being prepared for the vital work of helping people reach their full health potential. Throughout her graduate school career at the prestigious fountainhead, Palmer College of Chiropractic, she succeeded by constantly studying and researching the most effective ways to be healthy and bring that health and wellness to the community. Dr. Seitz’s passion is to educate and support as many families as possible so they can reach their full health potential through natural chiropractic care. Over the past years she has seen her dream become a reality; Seitz Family Chiropractic is an up and coming clinic in the Tama-Toledo area. Seitz Family Chiropractic and Dr. Seitz will continue to educate more and more people on the principles of how the body functions and the importance of supporting innate within the body through eating nutritiously, exercising, and most importantly removing nerve interference through chiropractic.

Have you ever noticed your child:

Writing letters backwards?
Looking at books upside down?
Rotating their paper while coloring?
Reversing numbers?
Switching hands frequently?
Turning puzzle pieces in unusual ways?

Most parents immediately wonder:

"Should I be worried?"

The better question might be:

"What is my child's brain trying to tell me?"

Children are constantly giving us clues about how they process the world. The way they draw, write, move, play, and solve problems can offer valuable insight into their development.

Sometimes these behaviors are completely age-appropriate and part of normal learning. Sometimes they can reflect areas of development that are still maturing, such as:

🧠 Visual processing
🧠 Body awareness
🧠 Balance and coordination
🧠 Motor planning
🧠 Spatial awareness
🧠 Left-right integration

The goal isn't to look for problems. The goal is to become curious. When we learn to observe before we correct, we often gain a deeper understanding of how our children learn, grow, and interact with their world. What is something you've noticed your child doing that made you stop and wonder?

There is so much happening in a child’s brain and nervous system during the early years; and parents deserve good information to help them understand that process. We’ll be hosting talks for parents who want to learn more about childhood development, nervous system function, and how to better support their children along the way. Space will be limited each month, so use the link below to join our interest list and receive information about upcoming talks.

The nervous system is constantly receiving information from the body and responding to the demands around us. The spine plays an important role in that communication because it provides a rich source of sensory input to the nervous system.

From a chiropractic perspective, subluxation represents a disturbance in normal spinal function that may affect the quality of that sensory input. Rather than viewing the spine simply as a collection of bones, we consider how movement, posture, and coordination contribute to the way the nervous system adapts to everyday physical and emotional demands.

For families, this perspective is especially meaningful. Pregnancy, birth, growth, school, sports, work, and daily life all place different demands on the body. Supporting healthy movement and nervous system function can be one part of helping people adapt to those changing demands.

Chiropractic care is not about forcing the body into a particular state. It is about identifying areas of altered function and using appropriate adjustments to support more balanced movement and communication within the nervous system.

As Brain Blossom Providers, we become developmental detectives.

Instead of asking:
*"What's wrong with my child?"*

We ask:
*"How did their nervous system develop, and what might be getting in the way today?"*

Because when we understand **how** the brain developed, we can better understand **why** certain challenges exist. So...how does Brain Blossom help?

We don't chase symptoms.
We look for the foundations that may need strengthening.
Every child receives a comprehensive evaluation to better understand:

Nervous system function
Brain development
Developmental milestones
Visual processing
Motor coordination
And so much more.

Then we create a plan designed for *their* brain.
Our multi-pillar approach supports development through:

Nervous System Support
Brain-Based Games & Exercises
Gut Health & Nutrition
Brain-Based Parenting & Mentoring

Each piece works together to support healthier brain function and continued development and everyday life. Every developmental clue helps us create a more intentional path forward, and every child deserves the opportunity to blossom.

Between work, school, sports, appointments, errands, and family time, life can fill up quickly. 📚⚽🏃‍♀️💼

When the schedule stays full for too long, the body has to continually adapt to the physical, chemical, and emotional demands that come with it. You may notice tension building, sleep becoming less restful, energy dropping, or simply feeling like you're running on empty. 🌿

Your body is constantly working to maintain balance. When stress and interference begin to overwhelm that ability to adapt, taking time to care for your body becomes an important part of caring for your family, too. ❤️

Chiropractic care is centered around helping the body function and communicate as clearly as possible, giving it a better opportunity to adapt to the demands of everyday life. When your body is functioning well, you can be more present for the people and activities that matter most. 🧠✨

A healthy family rhythm doesn't mean having a perfectly calm schedule. It means making space for rest, movement, connection, and the care your body needs along the way. 🌱
