NHTSA’s reminder is a good one: know the signs that help keep students safe.

But when that school bus stops and the red lights are flashing, there’s another important part of the equation…visibility.

Students don’t always stay directly in front of the bus. They’re walking, crossing, and moving through the area around it.

That’s why Gardian Angel is designed to illuminate the pedestrian area around a stopped school bus, helping make students more visible when they’re getting on and off the bus.

Welcome to the Gardian Angel family, Bellevue City Schools. 🚌💡❤️

Ohio made a $10 million investment in school bus safety, and districts are turning that investment into real safety upgrades for students.

We’re proud to see Gardian Angel lighting now helping illuminate the area around more Ohio school buses when children are getting on and off.

Because the goal has never been complicated:

Children should be seen. Not hit.

Thank you to Bellevue City Schools and Transportation Director Kathy Hillman for putting this funding to work, and to Governor DeWine, and the State of Ohio for making these investments possible.

More buses. More visibility. More kids coming home safely.

The “Danger Zone” around a stopped school bus is exactly why visibility matters.

Children can be difficult, or even impossible for drivers to see when they are in the areas surrounding a school bus. That’s why every layer of school bus safety matters.

At Gardian Angel, we’re focused on one important piece of that equation: helping illuminate the pedestrian danger zone when students are loading and unloading.

Because when it comes to getting children safely across the road, seeing the danger zone matters.

Seeing school districts make the decision to invest in better visibility and safer loading zones for their students and knowing Gardian Angel gets to be part of that is pretty special.

A huge congratulations to West Holmes Local Schools, and especially Transportation Supervisor Coreena Johnson, for making student safety a priority.

We are excited to share that West Holmes Local Schools has received a $74,661 Ohio School Bus Safety Grant. This grant is part of the Ohio School Bus Safety Grant program announced by Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

Our district was awarded funding to enhance student transportation safety. The grant will fund illuminated stop signs, Guardian Angel front lights, and rear chevron markings on our buses.

A big thank you to our Transportation Supervisor, Coreena Johnson, for her leadership and hard work in securing this opportunity to continue enhancing school bus safety in our district!

Yesterday in Temperance, Michigan, emergency crews responded to a school bus crash near Jackman and Cross Creek.

A Bedford Public Schools bus involved in the incident was equipped with a Gardian Angel lighting system. Most importantly, students were reported safe. ❤️🚌

For parents, nothing matters more than knowing children made it home safely. Moments like this are a reminder of how important school bus awareness is every single day, especially around loading and unloading zones where students are closest to traffic.

Thank you to the bus drivers, first responders, school staff, and transportation teams who help protect students in our communities.

We are Gardian Greatful nobody was injured.

One bus turned into fifteen. Last October, an Ohio school district installed a single Gardian Angel lighting system. Today, they came back for 15 more.
