Happy New Year! 2023 was very good to us - absolutely crazy - but ultimately our group home has become a successful venture. Our residents are happy and healthy and we now have a FULL STAFF!! Tia and Trey are very happy to not have to work 80-hour weeks anymore and we feel so incredibly blessed to find such amazing people who have such big passionate hearts to take care of our residents. After 1 (official) year in business we can operate normally...or as normally as you possibly can in a house full of goofballs. Looking back, we have gone to the Madison Zoo, Noah's Ark, the movies, the dairy breakfast, hiking, a loggers game, showed animals at the fair, participated in Special Olympics, celebrated every holiday and birthday, made sushi and Japanese pancakes, played SO many games, and made homemade soap, candles, tie-dye shirts, and snowglobes! In the new year, we look forward to taking a train trip to Wisconsin Dells (a special birthday request from one of our residents), watching movies from our donated 1,000+ DVD library 😱🤗, making crafts, going to State parks, playing our new dance revolution game, and so many more trips and activities that we have yet to plan 😊
Thank you so much for continuing to support us and pray for us. We are so thankful to grow this business in such a supportive community that offers so many opportunities to our residents!
