A really sweet, brilliant kid, whom I've had the honor of taking care of, once told me that she was "nerve-cited" about her upcoming soccer game. I thought it was the perfect word for all the emotions one feels when starting something new that you worked really hard to do and truly believe in.
Nervousness and excitement are physiologically identical – they both activate the amygdala, the emotional center of your brain, to release the same high-energy chemicals, such as adrenaline and cortisol.
Faster heartbeat…
Rapid breathing…
Sweaty skin…
Butterflies in the stomach…
The main difference is how your brain labels the feeling: nervousness expects a bad outcome, while excitement expects a good one. I think it's healthy to have a little bit of nervousness for some humility, but I will often reframe the language of what I'm feeling to “I am excited” instead of “I am nervous" so that my brain and heart are ready for any possibility, come what may. Research shows that reframing anxiety as excitement leads to better performance.
I have been waiting all summer for the right moment to make one of the biggest announcements of my life. Yes, I'm “nerve-cited" but mostly ECSTATIC because the time is finally here!!!
I have always been passionate about providing comprehensive, integrative, and personalized care that acknowledges and supports the physical, social, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of the people I serve, but for many years, I have felt limited in all the ways I can do this in a clinical setting. I created The Joyful Path to empower people to discover the joy of their unique gifts through offerings that help them build the intuition of how to nourish their mind, body, heart, and soul. After years of growth, learning, and listening to the song in my heart, I am thrilled to share a major milestone in my professional journey to guide people along that path -- today marks the official worldwide launch of The Joyful Path Integrative Clinical Hypnotherapy Coaching!

My Dear Joyspreaders,
A really sweet, brilliant kid, whom I've had the honor of taking care of, once told me that she was "nerve-cited" about her upcoming soccer game. I thought it was the perfect word for all the emotions one feels when starting something new that you worked really hard to do and truly believe in.

This venture represents a true full-circle moment for me. Hypnotherapy bridges decades of diverse experience in both Western and Eastern healing modalities into a unified framework where none of my training is wasted, and it has been nothing short of life-changing for myself and for my clients. Whether you are facing a physical challenge with your health, mental and emotional challenges such as anxiety, fears, and addictions, relationship issues, stagnant careers, financial struggles, or really any challenge, we can get to the root of it with hypnotherapy.
Oftentimes, when our mind and/or body aren't functioning optimally, it is sending signals of deep-rooted emotional stress that we carry with us, some of which we may have insight into but most of which we bury deep in our subconscious mind to survive. By taking you to a safe meditative space where you are in complete control to access your subconscious mind through hypnotherapy, we can identify and address the underlying causes of health, emotional, relationship, and behavioral challenges, rather than just managing the symptoms, and replace limiting belief systems and what no longer serves us with supportive belief systems.
In 1970, Dr. Alfred Barrios found, after reviewing over 1,000 studies and articles, that:
Hypnotherapy showed a 93% success rate after just 6 sessions
Behavioral therapy had a 72% success rate after 22 sessions
Psychoanalytic therapy showed only a 38% success rate after 600 sessions
So we've known this for a long time -- hypnotherapy is not only highly effective, but also more efficient, often requiring fewer sessions than other methods. The goal isn't to keep you coming back indefinitely -- it's for you to gain the wisdom and build the intuition of what your mind, body, heart, and soul need to live and thrive and not just survive. And I think the biggest key is that it is active, not passive, healing that empowers you with the tools and resources you need to navigate life's challenges and create the change you want in your life. Essentially, I'm guiding you to heal yourself. All it takes is an open mind and heart and the willingness and curiosity to explore something new.
From life experiences that have taken me from deep grief and burnout to rediscovering and reconnecting to my joy, I consider it a great blessing and privilege to share what I have learned with children and adults all over the world. Stepping into this work feels entirely aligned with my life's purpose -- to challenge people to witness the divine in themselves and all those around them so that they may live and thrive with meaning, purpose, and joy. I am so incredibly grateful for the joyful path that led me to this ultimate homecoming – a return to who I am meant to be so that I can help you do the same. ✨
