What are some of your favorite self-care activities?
Mine are time with my family and friends, discovering new places, antique stores, playing board games, the beach and palm trees, bible reading, and being in nature and talking with Jesus.

Pain Reprocessing Therapy is an exposure therapy. We need to expose ourselves to the fear inducing stimulus (pain, anxiety, movement trigger, etc.) in order to have the opportunity to practice reappraising the presenting discomfort as safe.

Try this sequence of somatic tracking in order to go to a cognitively safe place with your pain, rather than a place of danger, problem-solving, despair, or shame.

Go to a new place in your mind each time you practice this. By doing so, you will start to create a new neural pathway and develop a new association in response to pain.

After completing the 4 steps in the challenge simple move on with your day.

Let us know how this goes for you!
