The Health Department was excited to be part of opening day! A big thank you to Monroe County School District for welcoming us and allowing us to partner with you throughout the school year.
We look forward to working together through our Reducing the Risk Program, Teen Outreach Program, Choosing the Best curriculum, and Afterschool Program to support the health and well-being of our students and families.

Help reduce your risk of foodborne illness by properly cleaning your fruits and vegetables.

-Wash your hands with warm water and soap before and after preparing fresh fruits and vegetables.
-Rinse fruits and vegetables under running water, gently rubbing the surface before peeling or cutting.
-Dry fruits and vegetables with a clean cloth or paper towel.
-Refrigerate unused cut, peeled or cooked fruits and vegetables.
