🧘‍♀️This is something I work on. It can be challenging, though, to take those very peaceful, grounded, spiritual energies out to, say, the grocery store or the bank, or to a stressful event.

🧘But just practice a little. Do the best you can. I am certainly not perfect at this, but it has come up for me again lately and I feel that it is an important part of a meditation practice. Now, this doesn’t mean you are somber and serious – spirituality has a fun side too – our angels and spirit guides have a sense of humor.

🧘‍♀️So, this doesn’t mean perfection, it means kindness, compassion, giving, sharing, helping, having empathy, being open and awake in your life.

🥰I think this about sums it up. We don’t always honor or treasure ourselves and our various and sundry parts. So, it’s time, methinks, to put awareness toward who you are and loving and accepting all parts of you even ones that aren’t your favorites and realizing that they make up the whole beautiful you! Btw, I KNOW it's easier said than done. Baby steps are fine.

💜It’s all there in the post. It’s time for all of us to let go of the unnecessary and petty crap we pay attention to and unmask ourselves and be who we really, really are. It is a challenge, no doubt about it, but let’s be Nike and JUST DO IT! Take it slow, do it fast, do it in the middle…just be aware and begin to let go. It’s not a race, it’s a process.

And so she did.

Dolly Parton was true to being herself in a way that also embraced and encouraged others. Everything she said and did, even talking about her successes, seemed to convey to us all, "You matter darlin. You're a bright star too."

What an amazing legacy.

I believe one of the most beautiful ways to honor the loss of someone we love, respect or look up to, is to emulate qualities about them that we were inspired by.

Along with her compassionate hearted faith, I'm choosing to keep being who I am on purpose, in a way that I pray will embrace and encourage others as well.

When I think of Dolly Parton, I am reminded of my favorite childhood story: "The princess was always laughing and singing and dancing... and everybody- just everybody- loved her." ✨👑

💕So, try the little exercise for being in your heart energy. Practice it this week. Keep dropping into your heart and seeing how long you can stay there. I have this practice that I teach people – a stop-gap measure in a way. I call it:
Stop, Drop & Breathe. Just like this exercise. Stop (and I snap my fingers to break the mind connection a bit), Drop (into your heart & really feel it), and breathe. Your heart needs you, so give it some time and attention, it will pay you back in spades. Love from my heart to yours.
