I'm still processing what happened last night. I probably will be for a while, but town is safe, the studio is safe, I am safe.
And my home is safe, and hopefully stays that way, thanks to fire crews and some badass friends who went up there in the middle of the night to work on making sure it was protected. Thank you for showing up for me 🥹
This beast of a fire is still raging, along with several others and I know many are displaced due to evacuation. The collective grief that comes with these devastating fires is palpable and my heart breaks for the immense loss that is still unfolding. For the impact on us humans, but also the animals and our beautiful natural world 💔
If you've been displaced, need resources or have resources to offer, the Community Cultural Center of Tonasket is currently set up as a shelter and base for resource distribution.
Thank you to all the fire crews and all the people being awesome community members & neighbors!
And thank you to everyone who reached out to check on me! It means more than you know 🙏
Be safe! Take care of each other 💛
All photos were taken by me. Mostly from right behind the studio. It was a long & wild night! One that I will not soon forget.
