I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how we end up where we’re supposed to be.
My path back to therapy wasn’t exactly a straight line. I started my career in social work, spent years working in trauma and victim advocacy, moved into communications and healthcare leadership, and eventually found myself having to seriously reconsider what I wanted my life to look like.
A major health crisis changed my perspective in ways I never expected.
So I thought I’d share a little bit about how I got here, why I came back to therapy, and why I’m so incredibly grateful that I did.
Because therapists aren’t people who have somehow figured out life. We’re people who have lived it, too.
And I’m really grateful to be doing this work. ❤️
