🤠 Saddle Up for Cowboy Day at Cedarhurst of Topeka! 🤠

We’re continuing our celebration of National Assisted Living Week with a rootin’ tootin’ Cowboy Day filled with laughter, music, friendship, and plenty of Western fun!

We kicked off the morning with a Rootin’ Tootin’ Good Workout led by Miranda, our EmpowerMe Wellness Director, getting everyone moving and ready for the day! 💪🐎

Our Executive Director, Jessie, then put everyone’s cowboy knowledge to the test with a fun and engaging Cowboy Trivia session. 🤠🧠

Cowboy Themed Lunch 🥙 🫘

The afternoon brought sweet treats and great entertainment with Root Beer Floats, Pup Mix, and live country music by Dennis Bowen. 🎶🥤

We wrapped up our Wild West adventure with some Target Shooting fun, bringing plenty of friendly competition and smiles to the afternoon! 🎯

Days like today remind us that celebrating our residents, creating meaningful moments, and simply enjoying time together is what makes our community so special. ❤️

🎶🕺 Another Fun-Filled Day Celebrating National Assisted Living Week! 🕺🎶

Today we stepped back in time for a little 1950s nostalgia! ❤️

We started our morning with some exercise alongside Jack LaLanne, who was on in the background sharing his tips for staying fit. It was a fun way to get moving and start our day!

Then we gathered for a special 1950s Reminiscing Group. A short story about life in the ’50s sparked wonderful memories, laughter, and stories from our residents. There is something truly special about listening to the experiences and memories that have shaped their lives. ❤️

🍔 Next stop: The 1950s Diner! 🍔
Our residents enjoyed a delicious diner-themed lunch before we topped off the afternoon with their choice of milkshakes, malts, banana splits, or sundaes! 🍨🥤

Of course, no ’50s celebration would be complete without some great 1950s music, good company, laughter, and a whole lot of fun! 🎶

Whew… what a day! We are so grateful for every opportunity to celebrate our residents, create meaningful moments, and make new memories together. ❤️

🏈⚾🏀 Happy National Assisted Living Week from Cedarhurst of Topeka! 🏀⚾🏈

Today’s theme was SPORTS, and our residents truly brought the spirit, energy, and fun! ❤️

We started the day with a trip to Prairie Band Casino, where our residents enjoyed getting out into the community and spending time together. We followed it up with a delicious sports-themed lunch, giving everyone another opportunity to gather around the table, share stories, laugh, and simply enjoy one another’s company.

Then it was time to bring the excitement home with a Tailgate Party! 🏟️🎉 We enjoyed wonderful live music from Michael Eichten, followed by a friendly Co****le Competition filled with cheers, smiles, and plenty of good-natured competition! Later this evening we will cheer for the KC Chiefs!!!🌽🎶🏈

But the best part of days like today isn’t the activities themselves, it’s the people. It’s seeing a resident light up when their favorite song comes on, hearing laughter shared between friends, watching someone proudly cheer on their teammate, and creating moments that become cherished memories.

At Cedarhurst of Topeka, we believe every day is an opportunity to create purpose, connection, laughter, and joy. Our residents deserve to feel celebrated, included, and valued, not just during National Assisted Living Week, but every single day. ❤️

Today was about more than Sports Day. It was about celebrating the amazing people who make Cedarhurst feel like home. 🏡❤️

We are proud to announce the completion of 34 new Independent Living Cottages at Cedarhurst of Topeka!

The addition brings independent living to a campus that already includes assisted living and memory care, creating a full continuum of care in one location. Each cottage includes a two-bedroom floor plan, zero-step entry, a private garage with an EV outlet, and a covered patio, paired with campus amenities like a clubhouse, putting green, and more.

That means mornings that start with a continental breakfast at the clubhouse, afternoons on the putting green or bocce court, and evenings spent on a covered patio. It's independence paired with a built-in community.

Oh, the smiles and happiness Jayce brings with every delicious bite! 🥰 Our Registered Nurse and Director of Nursing, Jayce, knows how to care for our residents from the nursing floor to the kitchen! 👩‍⚕️❤️👩‍🍳

She’s serving up more than delicious food. She’s serving up love, laughter, and lots of smiles! 🥰🍽️

We’re already looking forward to what she’ll be cooking up next month! 👀
