This is the Dysport difference. And it is all in the details. ✨

Look closely at her lower face. Smoother skin, softer smile lines, and a lifted, more heart-shaped shape overall. That is not an accident. That is what happens when you treat the full face instead of just the top.

Here is what most people miss. The DAOs (the muscles that pull the corners of the mouth down) and the mentalis (the muscle that pushes the chin up and creates that dimpled, orange-peel texture) have a huge impact on how rested and lifted the lower face looks. With more than two decades of medical experience, Sarah brings a rare combination of clinical expertise, attention to detail, and genuine compassion to aesthetics. After 11 years in Emergency Medicine and 13 years in Pediatric Primary Care, she found the perfect intersection of two things she has always loved: science and helping people look and feel better.

On duty, she is passionate about building thoughtful, personalized treatment plans and bringing advanced, evidence-based aesthetics to Topeka. Safety, integrity, innovation, and real results guide every decision she makes, because helping someone feel confident should never mean compromising what makes them uniquely them.

Melissa is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board certified Family Nurse Practitioner whose work is built around one belief: when people understand their health, they’re empowered to take an active role in their future. Whether it’s a patient regaining the confidence to walk into a gym, a grandparent with more energy to keep up with their grandkids, or someone realizing they’re capable of more than they thought, those are the moments Melissa shows up for.

Beyond her work here at The Refinery, she’s just as intentional about giving back, from mentoring others to organizing a towel drive supporting the Impact Topeka Foundation’s Mattress Drive for local families in need.

Meet Melissa Deister, one of Topeka’s 20 Under 40 honorees!

Melissa holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at The Refinery Medical Aesthetics, where she provides personalized, evidence-based care focused on prevention, metabolic and hormone health, medical weight management and aesthetic medicine. At the heart of her work is a simple belief: when people understand their health, they are empowered to take an active role in their future.

For Melissa, success isn’t measured by the number of patients she sees—it’s found in the individual stories.
