Topeka Pediatrics We are a primary care pediatrics office also operating Topeka's only pediatric urgent care. Topeka Pediatrics is here for your child's health and wellness.

We have made it our business to know your child and his/her health. Whether it is wellness, behavior issues, school problems, asthma, a bump on the knee or a scary fever, we can direct your health needs, even after hours and on weekends. Did you know that Topeka Pediatrics or our urgent care Kids First is open seven days a week? At Topeka Pediatrics you are guaranteed to be seen by a provider specifically trained in pediatrics in the same comfortable setting that you and your child are used to. Follow-up care is simple and efficient. If you feel your child is having a life-threatening emergency-CALL 911. Otherwise, call us. That is what we are here for!

🤧 WHAT IS A URI? Understanding Upper Respiratory Infections in Kids! 🩺💙

Have you ever heard your child’s provider say your child has a URI? URI stands for Upper Respiratory Infection — it’s another name for a common cold!

🩺 When should you call your pediatrician?
Contact your child's healthcare provider if symptoms last more than 10 days, worsen after improving, your child has persistent fever or ear pain, or they are refusing fluids.

🚨 Seek emergency help immediately if your child has trouble breathing, is gasping, or develops a grayish-blue skin color. A temperature of 100.4°F or higher in a baby 2 months old or younger requires prompt medical evaluation.

Remember, most colds improve with time and supportive care, but we're always here to help you decide what your child needs!

You must schedule ahead of time via phone OR portal.
For children under the age of 5, please make sure a leg is easily accessible!
Parents with the same private insurance as their child CAN get the flu shot as well.

🚗 We would like everyone to enter the parking lot from 29th street and pull up on the east side of the building so your car will be facing north. We have provided a visual below!
