Last week, nurse leaders from across Kansas came together for two days of education, collaboration, and professional growth at the KHCA/KCAL Nurse Leadership Conference. Through engaging sessions on clinical excellence, behavioral health, risk management, communication, and leadership development, attendees gained practical strategies to strengthen their teams and enhance resident care. Equally valuable were the opportunities to connect with peers, share experiences, and build relationships that support the future of long term care.

KHCA/KCAL staff and our members are in Washington, D.C., this week for AHCA/NCAL’s Congressional Briefing, joining long term care leaders from across the country to advocate for policies that support quality care for seniors.

This week, our Kansas delegation has met with members of Congress and their staff to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing long term care providers, including workforce, reimbursement, and access to care.

We are proud to have strong Kansas representation helping ensure the voices of our residents, caregivers, and providers are heard on Capitol Hill.
