WE HAD SOME VERY SPECIAL NEW VISITORS!

Aldinger Farms brought us not one, but TWO adorable baby kangaroos! Meet Daisy and Jasper!

Our residents and staff had an absolute blast meeting these sweet little joeys, learning about them, and getting some unforgettable up-close moments.

There were smiles, lots of excitement, and plenty of “aww!” moments all around! A HUGE thank you to Aldinger Farms for bringing Daisy and Jasper to visit us! We’re already hoping these two little cuties come back soon!

It’s National Senior Citizen Day and EverTrue is ready to celebrate the more than 16,500 older adults we serve each year in our communities, programs and services! Our residents and clients are embodiments of the authenticity behind our mission: Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest.

Like our resident David Dare: David is a pianist who volunteers his talents for the worship services at EverTrue Lutheran Home at Topton, working closely with our chaplain. He also plays piano at many other activities and events, bringing music and joy to our community.

Our First-Ever Sock Hop!
What a fantastic night of fun, music, dancing, and memories! We had a blast at our first Sock Hop, and we couldn’t have asked for better entertainment than Double Trouble — Jeff Krick & Jeff Krick Jr.!

Our residents had a wonderful time singing along, dancing, laughing, and enjoying the nostalgia of the good old days.

A huge thank-you to Double Trouble for helping us make our first Sock Hop such a fun and memorable event! We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Shannon Kidd, EverTrue's Vice President of Operations Life Plan Communities - East, has been recognized on the LVB300 List by Lehigh Valley Business. Shannon has been part of the EverTrue team since 2024 and oversees our communities in Pennsylvania — which includes 675 residents!

With over 20 years in aging services, she understands what makes a great resident experience and what team members need to be successful. “Success is a team effort. I strive to be a hands-on, approachable leader who listens, supports and works collaboratively to achieve shared goals,” said Shannon. "After all, the work we do has a direct impact on people’s lives.”

Each August 7th, Americans honor the men and women who were wounded or killed in combat while serving our nation as part of Purple Heart Day. This day is special for many members of our EverTrue communities, veterans who carry their own stories of courage and sacrifice to our country.

Veterans like:
🎖️EverTrue resident Robert Schuller, who was a Marine Corps Sergeant (Kilo Company 26) and served in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart in 1968.
🎖️EverTrue resident Merle Freitag, who was in the Army for 32 years, retiring as Lieutenant General. He served the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart during service in the Vietnam War.
🎖️EverTrue Care Center client, Paul David McAlister, who was awarded the Purple Heart for his service in the Vietnam War. He served in the Army, retiring as Sergeant.

Many of EverTrue’s communities have specialty groups for our veterans, encouraging them to share their stories and support while looking for new ways to live life to the fullest. Our thanks to all who committed to military service, risking their lives for our freedoms.
