healing isn’t always found in the big breakthrough moments. More often, it’s found in the quieter ones.

In learning how to slow down enough to notice myself.
In taking a deeper breath instead of immediately reacting.
In sitting in the sun for a few extra minutes.
In listening to my body instead of pushing past it.
in allowing myself to soften without needing to earn it.

This work has changed the way i move through my life. Not because everything is perfect or peaceful all the time, but because i now meet myself differently within it all.

The noise begins to quiet.

This morning, I stopped to watch a snail.

I know, not exactly the most captivating sentence! But the impact of the moment felt considerable.

This tiny being crossing the sidewalk stopped me in my tracks and invited me into the present moment. For those few breaths, it was just me and this little snail on its very long journey across the pavement.

And in that moment, I wasn’t rushing.
I wasn’t thinking ahead.
I was simply here - present, aware, and strangely grateful…

As you move through your day today, can you allow one thing to catch your attention and slow you down?

Maybe it’s a cloud moving across the sky, a person passing by, or the soft hum of a fan nearby.

Notice what is taking place in that very moment, and allow yourself to fully arrive there. 🌿

At 7:30 this morning, I walked through this field and barely noticed the dandelions.

By the afternoon, it looked completely transformed — a sea of yellow. 🌼

They were there all along, but closed tightly against the cold morning air, waiting for the right conditions in which to open. And then, wow.

It’s amazing what nature has to teach us…

Not everything blooms on demand.

Set on a quiet rural property at Sherwood Farm, this day retreat is an invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect with yourself through mindful movement, breathwork, meditation, stillness, time in nature, and nourishing food.

We’ll move gently through the day together - creating space for things to settle, land, and breathe.

A nourishing plant-based lunch by Second Love Harvest made with organic ingredients will be shared as part of our time together.

As I packed up my apartment, I peeled this tree from my wall - a tree that held every season at once.

Blooming. Changing. Letting go. Beginning again.

Somehow, it felt fitting.

During this move, I found old journals, scraps of writing, and poems tucked away from another season of my life. One of them was Maybe Not by D Faulds, and its words stayed with me through this process.

Not every beginning arrives with clarity.
Sometimes it begins with release.
With trusting yourself enough to step into the unknown before you can fully see what’s ahead.

And maybe that’s its own kind of courage. 🤍

This was an exciting and evolving moment for me. My first in-person retreat: Connecting with Authenticity.

I remember being so nervous, but I also remember taking the time to arrive into the space and anchor in my breath.

What a deeply nourishing experience. I was so grateful for the beautiful souls who showed up with open hearts and a readiness to connect with themselves. 🦋

Now, years later, I have three retreats happening. There is a quiet excitement for those who feel called to step into these spaces. I look forward to welcoming you.💫

As I look back on that day, I’m so proud of her for taking that step. 🙏
