Today is a day filled with gratitude! THANK YOU to Deborah Kelly of Wisdom House Retreat & Conference Center and to DJ Murphy of LABA/ Litchfield Area Business Association for inviting Cook Funeral Home to participate in today’s Aging Well Health & Business Fair this morning! Thank you also to Jesse Gomes, Executive Director of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA) and to Mayor Molly Spino for stopping by our table!
It was an incredible event and one that certainly warms our heart as we approach the 25th Year Anniversary of funeral home ownership and serving our wonderful community!

Your child leaving for college … new adventures, new school, sometimes moving out of state for the first time …freshman year is an example of transitional grief. This can affect parents, who are losing the structure of an everyday domestic era as well as to their child leaving their sheltered safety as well as their familiar hometown routines.
