Happy Friday! We're shining the spotlight on Ashley, one of our amazing Medical Laboratory Technologists!

How long have you been at Broadwater? Ashley joined our team in January after making the move from Pennsylvania to Montana and finding her new home here!

Favorite part of her job: "Working in a rural hospital has given me the opportunity to build genuine relationships with both my coworkers and the people in our community.

It's incredibly rewarding to care for neighbors, friends, and families while working alongside a team that truly feels like family.

Fun Fact: When Ashley isn't at work, you'll likely find her outdoors! She loves hunting, fishing, hiking, and just about anything that gets her out in nature.

We'd also like to give a special shoutout to our amazing EMS team, who were on standby throughout the weekend to help keep everyone safe. 🤠

This morning our Billings Clinic Broadwater family gathered for a quiet balloon release in honor of a precious little life.

Our hearts are with the child’s family, loved ones, first responders, and everyone affected by this unimaginable loss.

We stand together in remembrance, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time. 💜

Heat Illness: Know the Signs & When to Get Help
Presented by Livingston HealthCare's Trauma Coordinator, Jenn Schmid, RN, CFRN, CEN

Early Signs:
• Tired, thirsty, headache
• Muscle cramps • Red, itchy bumps (heat rash)
👉 What to do: Drink water, rest in a cool place, soothe blisters

Worsening Symptoms:
• Pale, clammy skin
• Dizziness, nausea, fast heartbeat
👉 What to do: Loosen clothing, sip water, cool off with wet cloths or a bath

Heat Stroke = EMERGENCY
• 103°F+ temp
• Hot, red, dry or damp skin
• Confusion, fainting
🚑 What to do: Call 9-1-1 Cool them down—but DON'T give them anything to drink

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and get help if symptoms get worse.
