We are excited to welcome Dr. Ahmed Yousaf to the team at our Towson, MD, location!

Dr. Ahmed B. Yousaf is a dermatologist specializing in medical dermatology, with a clinical and research focus on inflammatory skin diseases including psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, atopic dermatitis, and hair disorders. His work centers on connecting patients to advanced and emerging therapies through both direct clinical care and participation in dermatologic clinical trials. His formal education and training include:

- University of Pennsylvania — BA, Biology (magna cm laude)
- West Virginia University School of Medicine — Doctor of Medicine
- University of Pittsburgh Medical Center — Internal Medicine Internship
- University of Pittsburgh Medical Center — Dermatology Residency

Dr. Yousaf completed his dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he trained in complex medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, and clinical research. He served as a Sub-Investigator within the UPMC Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit, contributing to industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies of novel therapies for inflammatory skin disease. His interest in clinical trials is driven by a broader commitment to expanding patient access to effective treatments, particularly for chronic, under-treated inflammatory conditions.

Committed to advancing dermatology through research, education, and service, Dr. Yousaf served as a Resident Ambassador for the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), published in leading dermatology journals, and contributed a chapter to Wolverton’s Comprehensive Dermatologic Drug Therapy. He also led a volunteer dermatology clinic serving uninsured patients, demonstrating his dedication to expanding access to care. He is also trained in cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology, including neuromodulators, injectables, laser, and energy-based devices. He has led resident cosmetic teaching sessions in collaboration with faculty and industry partners.

Dr. Yousaf’s long-term interests include the treatment of inflammatory skin disease, clinical trial leadership, therapeutic innovation, and improving patient access to emerging dermatologic care.
