There have been increasing number of injuries related to e-bikes and e-scooters.

E-scooters might be a fun way for kids to get from point A to point B, but there are risks that come with them, especially when operators are not respecting rules of the road, instead choosing to zip through intersections without slowing down.

Jenny Xiong, senior logistics technician, recently celebrated 10 years of service with Sanford Health!

To mark the milestone, Jenny chose caramel rolls from a local Tracy baker to share with her coworkers.

Thank you, Jenny, for a decade of dedication, hard work and commitment to serving our patients, staff and community. Congratulations on this well-deserved milestone!

Congratulations to Kaitlynn Bot of Sanford Tracy and Mirabel "Mimi" Tamukong of Sanford Westbrook on graduating from the Sanford Health Nurse Residency Program!

We celebrated their accomplishment in August with treats of their choosing. Kaitlynn selected caramel rolls from a local Tracy baker, while Mimi chose a dark chocolate cake from a local Westbrook baker.

Please help us welcome Blythe Zeug, NP, a new provider here in Tracy!

Blythe lives with her husband and their two Labrador retrievers. Outside of work, she enjoys ice fishing during the winter months, along with camping and exploring new places. Before starting her current role, she took a solo trip to Colorado, spending a week taking in the state's beautiful scenery and attractions. One of her favorite memories from the trip was a scenic train ride through the mountains.

When she's not working, Blythe can often be found with a good book in one hand and a great cup of coffee in the other.

Sanford Helps, a website created to help connect Sanford Health patients to social care community resources – such as financial assistance, food pantries, housing, medical care, and other free or reduced-cost help – helps fills patient needs where they live.

"Sanford Helps provides a consistent way across our footprint for staff to identify and connect patients to local and national resources, as well as an anonymous way for patients and community members to seek and find services," said Erica DeBoer, chief nursing officer at Sanford Heath.

Postpartum psychosis occurs in roughly one to two people out of every 1,000 who've given birth.

Angela Blackford, an integrative health counselor at Sanford Health, notes that, while it's rare, there has been an increase in patients asking about postpartum psychosis. There is a difference between that and postpartum depression, but both are treatable.

Behind every cancer data point is an opportunity to better understand the communities we serve.

Through Sanford Health's cancer registry, data is helping identify patient needs and inform meaningful changes to care. The registry collects and analyzes information to identify trends, guide screening efforts and support decisions about resources and patient care.

From strengthening lung cancer screening efforts to understanding how far rural patients travel for treatment, registry insights are helping Sanford make informed decisions to improve care across the region.

Alongside doctors and nurses at Sanford are also dedicated researchers who work behind the scenes, such as the cancer registry team.
